Jessica's Style

I work with open-minded adults who are struggling with sexual behaviors, attractions, or thoughts who want to stop with the secrecy or shame, so they're looking for a sex-positive, specialized sex therapist that uses a casual, unintimidating style to embrace pleasurable sexual experiences and healthy relationships.

I identify myself as a sex-positive therapist, meaning I do not come from a place of judgement of sexual behaviors, expressions, orientations, or beliefs. I believe everyone has the personal right to satisfying, pleasurable, and self-defined sexuality. All sex is good sex, if it is consensual and pleasurable! My beliefs of sexual health align with the World Health Organization's definition of sexual health.

Through talk-based psychotherapy I strive to meet my clients where they are in their life. My professional therapeutic style, while influenced by aspects of various therapeutic theories (Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Existential Therapy, and Sex Positive approaches, among others), is delivered with a causal, yet professional, flow and comes from client-focused, sex-positive and strength-based approaches. I believe it is important to help others feels as comfortable as possible within their sessions to share parts of their life with me that they may have never told another person. I find my work with my clients a humbling opportunity to assist them in working through their life's difficulties, increasing personal/partnered satisfaction, and enhancing their sexuality (and their feelings about their sexuality) as much as possible.
