InnerStrength Therapy Services offers talk therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. The sessions can vary from 20 minutes to 60 minutes and are either done in a comfortable, confidential office or over a HIPAA-secured online session ("e-therapy") in the privacy of your own home or office. (Note: the e-therapy is only available for those paying with the "prompt pay discount" option, as insurance will not cover this type of service at this time.)
Outpatient therapy is the most common form of psychotherapy, and often the one people think of when they think of "going to therapy." Sessions are conducted in the comfortable, calming atmosphere of InnerStrength's offices or through a HIPAA-secure (meaning, your session's privacy is protected) web-based program int he privacy of your own home or office.
Group therapy is a type of therapy where more than one client gather to work through and build understanding together on a common subject (e.g., grief group). Group sizes vary depending on the topic, style of therapist and the therapist preference. Sessions are typically, and most easily, conducted in the comfortable, calming atmosphere of InnerStrength's offices, but can be done virtually through a HIPAA-secure (meaning, your session's privacy is protected) web-based program int he privacy of your own home or office.
In Office Sessions:
The client(s) will conduct their session in a calming, private office within the suite of InnerStrength Therapy Services. Session times range from 20 minutes to 60 minutes in length. Additional time needs to be discussed, and agreed upon, in advance.
Telemedicine (E-therapy) Sessions:
The client(s) will conduct their session in a private place of their choosing within their home or office (note: the client(s) are responsible for ensuring they are in a private place during this type of session), while the therapist is in a private and confidential office, typically within the suite of InnerStrength Therapy Services. Session times range from 20 minutes to 60 minutes in length. Additional time needs to be discussed, and agreed upon, in advance.
COVID-19 Pandemic Precations:
During this unprecedented time, InnerStrength Therapy Services is conducting the majority of their sessions via telemedicine, but some in-person sessions are available, depending on the comfort and boundaries of the individual professional. If you do come to the office for your session, please note the following sanitization and safety measures ISTS staff have in place. We also ask each client to sign a consent form that outlines these practices and that they agree to follow them, to the best of their ability. A client coming to sessions in-person understands they are taking a risk of being exposed to the coronavirus and further understand ISTS has policies in place to try and reduce this risk in the office setting.
**PLEASE RESCHEDULE OR CHANGE TO A TELEMEDICINE SESSION IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19! YOUR THERAPIST MAY CHANGE YOUR SESSION TO A TELEMEDICINE ONE, IF THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID (they will not be allowed to return to in-office sessions until they've had 2 subsequent negative tests) OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS (which they will quarantine for 2 weeks and/or until they get a negative COVID-19 test result).**
Our Commitment to Minimize the Risk of Exposure:
Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy rooms have been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
ISTS staff can wear masks and we encourage client to consider doing so, as well.
My staff maintains safe distancing.
We encourage staff to be the primary ones touching door handles for clients, as much as possible, to reduce surfaces being touched. Common areas are sanitized between clients and at the end of each day.
Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy rooms and waiting room.
We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room.
We ask all patients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.
Credit card pads, pens and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
Physical contact is not permitted.
Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
